Gold Coin Worth $680 Left In Salvation Army Kettle In Tulsa

Did you hear about this?  Someone left a Krugerrand Gold worth $680 in the Salvation Army Kettle in Tulsa, OK.  It was wrapped in paper with a note "Merry Christmas".  A Kruggerand is an South African coin containing a troy ounce of gold.  According to Tulsa's Channel 2 News it is the 16th time in 17 years one has been left in the kettle in Tulsa.  One was found in an Oklahoma City kettle last year.
Don't you want to know who this generous person is?
Merry Christmas.
Love,
Territory Mom

That is quite a story of generosity.

Cynical me thinks that the generous man or woman donated one all 17 years and one year a bell ringer or counter got the Krugerrand themselves. (slap me)

My husband and I were just talking the other day that we hadn't heard of one of the coins being dropped in a bucket yet this year. I'm glad someone is keeping up the tradition.
