2nd Day of Woody Guthrie Folk Festival

This is the second day of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah, OK and it rained again.
The day should be fine with no more rain in the forecast just, hot, hot and hot. There will be plenty of indoor venues in the downtown area. Most of the entertainers will be at Lou's Rocky Road Tavern, The Brickstreet and the Crystal Theatre.
Outstanding performers again this year like, Ellis Paul, Jimmy LaFave, Ronny Elliott, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Annie Guthrie, The Burns Sisters, Red Dirt Rangers and many many more.
The real action will be at the Pastures of Plenty located in a big field off I-40 by the big white water tower. Just ask anyone in town they will give you directions. This the campsite and outdoor venue. This is where the real "folk" will be. They will be singing next to the campfires way into the night. The big names will eventually make their way down to the Pastures and join in the sing-alongs. David Carradine even made an appearance one year.
The festival will go through Sunday, July 12th. Enjoy and be safe. Love, Territory Mom More info: http://www.woodyguthrie.com/ http://www.myspace.com/woodyguthriefolkfestival http://www.arlo.net/ P.S. There will be plenty of entertainment at the Grape Ranch, Okemah, OK. http://www.graperanch.com/
