I Wonder If You Know This Man

I got on Esty this morning and found this photo of a man from Durant.  Its from an Etsy shop called Snippets of Time located in Eugene, Oregon.

Anyway the photo is of a man with two horses and on the back it has Durant, O? and dated 1948 or 1943.  I'm sure its Durant, Oklahoma because I cannot find another Durant, other than Kevin.

So many Oklahomans went to Oregon in the 1930's and 1940's to work in factories or in the fields.

I learned about Elizabeth Stewart of Sand Springs from an article by Jake Adamson in the January/February 2009 issue of Oklahoma Today. Elizabeth makes jewelry from old typewriter keys and parts. How creative!!! She sells her items on Etsy.com, this is a great showcase for people to sell their creations.

Okies are very creative. I love to hear about someone making their dreams come true especially Okies because it means that I'm just one step closer to making my dreams coming true and you are too.
