Snow Storm Is A Comin'

Photo: Flickr.com

Hello friends,
I guess you have heard that a snow storm is on it's way to our state.
The kids and I are busy getting ready, which means make sure all the animals have water and food.  Did you know that chickens drink a lot of water?  Make sure the laundry is done in case the pipes freeze, Lord I hope not. We just got back from the store, so we have plenty of milk, bread, eggs, etc.  We can survive on milk, cheese and tortillas for days.  My husband asked me if I can make tortillas.  I told him I did one time and he didn't like them (too thick)so he asked me to try again.  I'll let you know how this goes.  By the way I can make fry bread and it's good, except it's fried.  Ooh, I think I will make a pot of beans.
Okay back to the snow storm.  Right now I'm heading outside to get the wood rack stacked up. When Dan Threlkeld says at 5:00 (yesterday) that we will have 80% snow on Thursday then says by 10:00 he will change it to 90%, get ready.  I like him.
Luckily, I also get to watch David Payne from Channel 4 in OKC.  I like him too.
Please stay warm, safe and happy.
Oh, make sure the batteries for your camera are charged up.  That is the most important thing for snow storms.  My kids look so cute playing in the snow.  I bet yours do too.
Have a beautiful day.
Love,
Territory Mom

P.S.  The sun is shining and it's warm, hard to believe we will be covered with snow and ice this time tomorrow.

Don't forget extra water for toilet flushing. (I know I know - gross. But a real necessity for us country folk on well water if the well is power generated.)
I made beans earlier this week but they do sound really good - again.

I hope we get some too! I want to hunker down, fix beans too, and build a fire in the fireplace. Oh, and not go to school!

I was in Independence, KS at 4:30 and it was snowing there. We live about 30-40 minutes south of there. It's now 7:15 and so far we haven't seen any snow.

Great photograph.

It looks like we have about 3/4 of an inch of snow in Tulsa so it will be mass chaos going to work, groan.
